No Such a Thing as UNINSUREDThe liberal Democrats have been screaming for “universal health care” for all for about 70 years. Their main weapon against those of us which might disagree with their philosophy has been to play the race card; they play the social class card and actually show us charts that prove that the “health care for all” will pay for itself. In doing all of this they assume two things above all others; (1) they assume that the middle class is too stupid to see through the deceits of their rationale and (2) they assume that the “supposedly 40 million without health care want government controlled health care.Let’s fully accept one thing above all other issues involved with the politics of “universal health care”; and that is: there is no such a thing as “FREE” anything in life, someone will have to pay for it. The government cannot pay for it because the government has no money, we the people provide the money the government uses to provide the services and entitlement programs which we enjoy or partake of. Next let’s closely examine the one entitlement program which already deals with health care; and that is MEDICARE: what a disaster that “government” run program is.But here is the one thing neither Democrats nor Republicans in Washington is talking about, would you believe that the uninsured have it better than those of us with health care insurance and certainly better than they will be with universal health care? I’ll share a true situation with you that will have you re-thinking the whole “health care for all” debate going on in Washington. Two young families I know very well, they both have two children less than 10 years of age. One family is self employed and lives payday to payday, late on most monthly bills and of course have no health care insurance, the other family also struggles payday to payday but are employed and have employer provided health care insurance. First of all employer provided health care is NOT FULLY employer provided; this family pays $318.00 monthly, a deductable of $800 annually and $20.00 co-pay each doctor visit for this health care insurance; an annually cost of plus $4600.00, not cheap. Most states if not all have to provide emergency live saving health services to all (including the uninsured) and in many states there is some form of “State medical assistance or aid”. The other young family, the one without health care had a life threatening situation with their daughter which required three operations involving cutting a ¾ by 1 inch piece of her skull (twice) and removing a cyst, inserting a tube and pump into her head. The total cost at the end was approximately 1.3 million; this family paid nothing. Both of their children were born without any expense to them. The state paid.Washington, stopping lying to us, there is no “uninsured”, but there is “not completely insured”. Why don’t we work on that program and improve it and provide more “not completely insured” coverage for the 40 million uninsured; and while we are at it let’s improve Medicare and lower the cost to the government? By the way, it’s not 40 million, it’s 20 million, and we-America doesn’t owe “illegal immigrants” anything but humane treatment. The liberal democrats will never buy into this because they don’t really care about the uninsured, the middle class, minorities, and small businesses; what they want is CONTROL, CONTROL, CONTROL; and anything government run puts them in control.
