2 September 2010“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned-this is the sum of good government:” Thomas Jefferson, writings-1743-1826“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of the people”. GOD can be in control, we just have to let HIM

By Admin, August 24, 2010 9:28 pm

24 August 2010  If you have read my latest post on the state of our economy (Now and then 1929,2009, the coming depression, part XII) you would ask I’m sure, what hope is there if things are really that hopeless. If America found the perfect Congress and President to preside during these dark times, it would still take over 12 years for America to get on its feet and it would hurt. I have found over the years that when we trust God first and throw ourselves at his mercy that all things work out for the best; and that thinking applies to nations also.  {II Chronicles 7:14…If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.} Just prior to his death Moses gave some last words of encouragement to the nation of Israel in Deuteronomy 31.6: “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them, for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”. Though some could possibly make the argument that the scripture applies only to the Hebrews of the Old Testament; we are reminded in Hebrews 13.5: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” As we are faithful to seek first the kingdom of God, then He will be faithful to meet our every need

I hope this touches your heart

A minister passing
through his church
In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the
altar
And see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,
A man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
The man
hadn’t shaved in a while.
His shirt was kinda shabby
And his coat was
worn and frayed,
The man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked
away.

In the days that followed,
Each noon time came this chap,
Each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister’s suspicions grew,
With robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him,
‘What are you doing here?’

The old man said, he worked down the road.
Lunch was half an hour.
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and
power.

‘I stay only moments, see,
Because the factory
is so far away;
As I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is
kindawhat I say:

‘I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL
YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND
YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU
EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.’

The minister feeling foolish,
Told Jim,
that was fine.
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just
anytime

Time to go, Jim smiled, said ‘Thanks.’
He hurried to the
door.
The minister knelt at the altar,
He’d never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love,
And met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
He repeated old Jim’s prayer:

‘I JUST
CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH
OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,
BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.’

Past noon one day, the
minister noticed
That old Jim hadn’t come.
As more days passed without
Jim,
He began to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him,
Learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried,
But he’d
given them a thrill.

The week that Jim was with them,
Brought
changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were
his reward.

The head nurse couldn’t understand
Why Jim was so glad,
When no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.

The
minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse’s concern:
No friends
came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised,
old Jim spoke
Up and with a winsome smile;
‘the nurse is wrong, she
couldn’t know,
That he’s in here all the while

Everyday at
noon He’s here,
A dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down,
takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:
‘I
JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS
FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR
YOU PRAY,
I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN
TODAY.’
If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk
in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your
heart

May God hold you in the palm of His hand
And Angels watch over you.

Please pass this page on to your friends & loved ones….

Change we can believe in; with a twist

By Admin, June 29, 2010 5:02 pm

There’s an old sea story about a ship’s Captain who inspected his

> sailors, and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad.

> The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would

> change underwear occasionally.

>

> The first mate responded, “Aye, aye sir, I’ll see to it immediately!”

> The first mate went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced,

> “The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your

underwear.”

> He continued, “Pittman, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change

> with Witkowski, and Brown, you change with Schultz. Now GET TO IT!”

>

>

> THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS: Someone may come along and promise

> “Change”, but don’t count on things smelling any better.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile, but you, have to sigh, when care is pressing you down a bit, rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

     Hebrews 10:36 says,

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.

Seperation of Church and State; not always equal

By Admin, May 11, 2010 7:35 pm

Isn’t this amazing.

> In 1952, President Truman established
> one day a year as a National Day of Prayer.
>
> In 1988, President Reagan designated the first Thursday in
> May of  each year as the National Day of Prayer.
>
> In June 2007, (then) Presidential candidate Barack Obama
> declared that the USA was no longer a Christian nation.

> In 2009, President Obama, canceled the 21st annual National
> Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the rouse of
> “not wanting to offend anyone”.

> On September 25, 2009, from 4 am until 7 p.m., a National
> Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was held on Capitol
> Hill. There were over 50,000 Muslims that day in DC.

Cancer

By Admin, May 3, 2010 5:42 pm

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. Prov. 15:33

Johns  Hopkins Update Article

AFTER  YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY  (’TRY’, BEING THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS   HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN   ALTERNATIVE WAY .

6.  Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing
cancer cells and also destroys  rapidly-growing healthy cells
in the bone  marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can
cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys,  heart, lungs etc.

7.  Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns,  scars
and damages healthy cells,  tissues and organs.

8.  Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will  often
reduce tumor size. However prolonged use  of
chemotherapy and radiation do not result  in more tumor
    destruction.

10.  Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells  to
mutate and become resistant and  difficult to destroy.
Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to  other
      sites.

11.  An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer
cells by not feeding it with the  foods it needs to multiply.

*CANCER  CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is  a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off
one important food supply to the cancer  cells. Sugar
    substitutes  like
NutraSweet,  Equal, Spoonful, etc are made
with Aspartame and it is  harmful. A  better natural substitute
would be  Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small
     amounts.
Table  salt has  a chemical added to make it white in
color  Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea  salt.

b. Milk causes  the body to produce mucus, especially in the
gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By  cutting
off milk and substituting with  unsweetened soy milk cancer
    cells are being  starved.

c.  Cancer cells thrive in an acid  environment.
A  meat-based
diet is  acidic and it is  best to eat fish, and a little chicken
rather  than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock
antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites,  which are all
harmful, especially to people  with cancer..

d. A  diet made of
80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole
grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help  put the body into
an alkaline  environment. About 20% can be from cooked
food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live
enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach  down to
cellular levels within 15 minutes to  nourish and enhance
growth of healthy cells.  To obtain live enzymes for building
healthy  cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most
vegetables including be an sprouts) and eat some  raw
vegetables 2 or 3 times a  day. Enzymes are destroyed at
    temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees  C).

e.  Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high
    caffeine
Green  tea is  a better alternative e and has cancer
fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or
filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy  metals in tap
water. Distilled water is  acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat  protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of
digestive enzymes. Undigested  meat remaining in the
intestines  becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic
      buildup.

13.  Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By
refraining from or eating less  meat it frees more enzymes
to  attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the
body’s killer cells to destroy  the cancer cells.

14. Some  supplements build up the immune system
      (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac,  anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals,
EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy
cancer cells.. Other  supplements like vitamin E are  known
to cause apoptosis, or  programmed cell death, the body’s
normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or
      unneeded  cells.

15.  Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit.
A proactive and positive spirit  will help the cancer warrior
be a  survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put
the body into a stressful and acidic  environment. Learn to
have a loving and  forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy
     life.

16.  Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated
environment. Exercising  daily, and deep breathing help  to
get more oxygen down to the  cellular level. Oxygen
therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer
      cells.

1.
No  plastic containers in micro

2.
No  water bottles in freezer

3.
No  plastic wrap in microwave..

Johns   Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This  information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center  as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast  cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells  of our bodies. Don’t freeze your plastic bottles with water in them  as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr Edward  Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV  program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and  how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our  food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially  applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of  fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and  ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using  glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating  food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such  things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be  removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn’t  bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s just safer to use  tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago  some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam  containers to paper The dioxin problem is one of the  reasons.

Also,  he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just  as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave.  As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to  actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover  food with a paper towel instead.

This  is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your  life.

I’m 63 and I am Tired

By Admin, April 26, 2010 5:17 pm

“I’m 63 and I Tired”by Robert A. Hall  I’m 63.  Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired. Very tired.   I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.   I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to “keep people in their homes.”  Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.   I’m tired of being told how bad  America  is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities  America  offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States  will have the economy of  Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of  China , the crime and violence of  Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of  Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela . I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor”; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers”; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery”; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.   I’m tired of being told that “race doesn’t matter” in the post-racial world of Obama, when it’s all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.   I think it’s very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln  wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.   I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?  Get a clue. I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.   I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures” we must let  Saudi Arabia  use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in  America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in  Saudi Arabia  to teach love and tolerance.   I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a  three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.   I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don’t think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I doggone  sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I’m tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.   I’m tired of illegal aliens being called “undocumented workers,” especially the ones who aren’t working, but are living on welfare or crime. What’s next?  Calling drug dealers, “Undocumented Pharmacists”?  And, no,  I’m not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it’s been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I’m willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn’t have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military…. Those are the citizens we need.   I’m tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war?  You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave?  Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are?  Not even close.  So here’s the deal. I’ll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we’ll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.   I’m tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I’m tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in  Illinois , where the “Illinois Combine” of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama’s cabinet.   I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.    Speaking of poor, I’m tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn’t have that in 1970, but we didn’t know we were “poor.” The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.   I’m real tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.   Yes, I’m doggone tired. But I’m also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I’m not going to have to see the world these people are making. I’m just sorry for my granddaughter.   Robert  A. Hall is a Marine  Vietnam  veteran who served five terms in the  Massachusetts   State  Senate.   There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!  This is your chance to make a difference.

Boy Scouts of America

By Admin, March 29, 2010 6:55 pm

The Boy Scout\s of America leaders had to explain to the Eagle Scout recipients this year that President Obama does not support the Boy Scouts of America and therefore does not sign the Eagle Certificates.  To date I believe there may be as many as 10,000 of this countries finest young men who do not have the signature of the president of the country they have taken an oath to respect and serve on thier Eagle Certificate.  To my knowledge Congress chartered BSA in 1916 part of which the President of the United States is the Honorary President of The Boy Scouts of America and President Obama is the first sitting president to personally refuse to sign these certicates.
