The Apostolic Church

Welcome to your Apostolic Church. Over the next year we will learn through scripture which church represents the true teachings of Christ as delivered by the apostles. It will not be my intent to actually name any denominational organization as not teaching the truth or one that is teaching the truth. I will simply bring you the scriptures, elaborate on their meaning and provide interpretations by the scriptures themselves.

Christianity should NOT be and is NOT a school of thought; it is neither a philosophical concept nor a doctrine which changes often to comply with political correctness, social decadence, and the advancement of “so called Christian” standards which are often based on half truths and outright lies.

The very first and original church was Apostolic and it’s “Teachings” were divine. The Word of God is “divinely inspired”, II Peter 1:21. The apostles received these “Teachings” as revelations from Jesus Christ.

In the gospel of John; John chapter one, verse one: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God The spirit and the word agree, for the Word is a product of the Spirit of God.

No matter how much we know about the Word of God, or how much we are constantly learning, we should maintain a teachable spirit, for the more truth we gain, the bigger Jesus we have on our hands. Having said that, let’s consider two things with our attitude toward new truth:

1.       Paul admonishes us in Heb 13:9 “not to be carried about with divers and strange doctrines” and warns in Gal 1:8, 10-11 “that though he or an Angel from heaven preach any other gospel than that of the apostles, let him be accursed” Additional truth will never nullify truths already revealed.

2.        Do all scriptures harmonize on the subject (scripture interpreting scripture), does it make us more like the pattern of the early church and does it glorify Christ.

God has a name and late this year we will learn that name and how important it is to have that name.
